<h3>The re-launch of the online magazine is scheduled for mid March 2011.</h3>

<p><strong>(Shreveport, LA)</strong><strong>–</strong></p>
<p>Founder of the National Black History Bee and Best-selling Author Terry a O’Neal, whose works have been published in numerous magazines, television, journals and newspapers, will be conducting a speaking and book signing tour throughout Shreveport and Bossier City. On this tour, O’Neal will visit Caddo Middle Career &amp; Tech. School, JS Clark Micro Society Academy, Northwood High School, Booker T. Washington New Technology High, Mooretown Branch Library, Atkins Branch Library, Barnes &amp; Noble Book Store, Books-A-Million, just to name a few. O’Neal will have an open discussion centered around her award-winning, YA novel <em>“Sweet Lavender”.</em> Sweet Lavender, which has been adapted to a full-length feature screenplay, is a 1960’s coming-of-age story of a young girl’s awakening to the bittersweet realities of life while growing up in a small Louisiana town.</p>
<p>O’Neal, who travels around the world inspiring young people to <em>“Carry out their literary dream, no matter how unlikely it may seem,”</em> will kick-off <strong>Teen Read Week</strong> by reaching out to Shreveport/Bossier City youth to promote literacy and the importance of reading, while sharing her passion for arts, literature, and culture.</p>
<p>Among her notable accomplishments, O’Neal has been named among the most popular African American female writers of our time, featured in a book entitled <em>“Literary Divas: The Top 100+ Most Admired African American Women in Literature”</em>—a list of women who’ve left a mark on the wider world through their writing. She is the author of several publications, including four volumes of poetry, two children’s books, and a young adult fiction novel. In addition, O’Neal is the founder and executive director of the National Black History Bee, a program designed to promote awareness of the magnificent contributions that African Americans have given to society and to the world.</p>
